Auf Initiative des neuen CSU-Ortsvorsitzenden Florian Lemmrich wurde aus Anlass des 100. Geburtstages von Franz Josef Strauß eine umfassende Beschilderung der letzten Ruhestätte des ehemaligen Bayerischen Ministerpräsidenten und Rotter Ehrenbürgers fertiggestellt. Die von Georg Dünstl entworfenen und von der Firma Sieglreitmaier Siebdruck angefertigten Schilder wurden am 31. August 2015 von Mitarbeitern des Rotter Bauhofes an insgesamt sieben Standorten in Ortskern angebracht. Ein herzlicher Dank geht aber nicht nur an die fleißigen Mitarbeiter des Bauhofs sondern auch an die Gemeindeverwaltung Rott am Inn, die die Kosten für diese Aktion komplett übernommen hat.
