Regen Zuspruch fand der von der CSU Rott veranstaltete Seniorennachmittag in Eich. Bei Kaffee und einem reichhaltigen Kuchenbuffet wurde viele interessante Gespräche mit Bürgermeisterkandidat Florian Lemmrich und den ebenfalls zahlreich erschienen Gemeinderatskandidaten CSU geführt. Jeder konnte hier nochmals seine Sorgen, Wünsche und Anregungen vortragen und sich zu Wahlkampfpositionen der der CSU informieren. Höhepunkt war dann die Führung durch die ehemalige Mühle in Eich, die im Jahr 1939 erbaut wurde und in der viele der anwesenden Senioren als Kind noch selbst Mehl gekauft hatten. Müllermeister Kastenmüller aus Edling erklärte in insgesamt drei Führungen das Innenleben der seit Ende der 70er Jahre stillgelegten Mühle, die jedoch von Eigentümer Franz Ametsbichler über die Jahr in gutem Zustand erhalten wurde. Fernab der digitalen Welt wurde hier über vier Jahrzehnte rein mechanisch Getreide gemahlen und Mehl hergestellt. Beim Anblick dieser soliden Technik fühlten sich viele der Anwesenden an ihre Kindheit erinnert.
