Die CSU Rott am Inn hat Florian Lemmrich zu ihrem Bürgermeisterkandidaten für die Kommunalwahl am 16. März 2014 gekürt. Im bis auf den letzten Platz besetzten "Wintergarten" des Landgasthofs Stechl wählten die Mitglieder der CSU Lemmrich einstimmig zu ihrem Kandidaten für die Bürgermeisterwahl 2014. Der 45-jährige Familienvater ist zwar kein gebürtiger, aber dafür „unheimlich gerne Rotter“. Darauf legte der Kandidat in seiner Vorstellungsrede großen Wert. Seit 1999 lebt er zusammen mit Frau und drei Kindern im Ort, der für die Familie „zur echten Heimat“ geworden ist. Lemmrich nimmt neben seinem Engagement als 1. Vorstand der Liedertafel Rott weitere ehrenamtliche Tätigkeiten im Vorstand des Gewerbeverbands, als Lektor in der Kirchengemeinde sowie als Mitglied der Kirchenverwaltung wahr. Der gelernte Bankkaufmann und Finanzfachwirt (FH) ist beruflich selbständig und berät inhabergeführte Familienbetriebe in betriebswirtschaftlichen Fragen. Mit den Worten „Ich werde mich mit voller Kraft einsetzen“ bezeugte Lemmrich seine Bereitschaft, sein Engagement für seine Heimatgemeinde noch einmal zu steigern.
